Welcome to The Three Rivers Chamber of Commerce
About the Chamber :
Three Rivers is a town rich in history dating back to 1829 when a new textile mill moved into town and established the Three Rivers Manufacturing Co. This town has always been proud and supportive of its businesses. The first chamber was organized in 1917. The members played an important role in developing new businesses in the area and even bought stock to support a local company in 1939. As more businesses turned to the chamber for support, the chamber decided to incorporate and become official in 1940. The original members of the chamber stated that the purpose of the chamber was "To establish a body of recognized authority to deal with matters of interest to the businessmen of Three River and to the general public; to forward the prosperity of the community; and to promote the the general welfare of the village." Today, members strive to fulfill the goals set by the original members of the Chamber by fund raising and using the funds to beautify the community as well as support the businesses we frequent everyday in our village.
Many of the residents of Three Rivers may have noticed this past year that the Chamber of Commerce has undergone quite a revitalization under the leadership of our president, Chester W. Topor. Beginning with the children’s Christmas Program, the Three Rivers Chamber of Commerce has continued to grow, accept new members, and organize many events and programs that help our community shine. Hryniewicz Park is being beautifully maintained and new plantings have truly brought new life to the park. Our Main Street Bridge has been showcased delightfully with fabulous hanging planters that bring color and charm to our Main Street. Our revitalization has begun to once again bring the community together and brought focus to our town motto “Three Rivers, A Nice Place to Live”. In keeping with our commitment to the town, the Three Rivers Chamber of Commerce has recently formed a Welcoming Committee. Members of the chamber will be visiting new businesses here in town to show our support and to let them know that we are here to make their transition a smooth one. Our services as a chamber are extended to them in the hopes of giving our new businesses a true sense of community support. We want Three Rivers to be a great place to live AND do business. It is our responsibility as a chamber to ensure the economic growth of our town, and this is just one way to bring a small town feel to our new neighbors.
